Including an opt-out or unsubscribe email link in your messages is actually one of the 3 main criteria of the CAN-Spam Act.

How to remove opt-out or unsubscribe email requests

The process to remove opt-out or unsubscribe emails from your list basically involves two steps:

  1. Including a mailto: link in your email, and
  2. configuring GroupMail’s Subscriber Add-on to find opt-out requests on your incoming POP3 mail server.

 

You can tell Subscriber to either delete unsubscribe email addresses from your email list(s) or to keep them on your list but add them to the GroupMail Exclusion list.

* GroupMail checks the exclusion list during each mailing and will not send messages to anyone on the exclusion list.
