Without question, retail industry email marketing departments in the United States were very busy putting the finishing touches on their 2012 Valentine’s Day email campaigns today.
In 2011, the first emails related to Valentine’s Day were sent on January 3rd. Overall though, Valentine’s Day retail email campaigns peak on the day itself. In 2011, over one-half of all retail emails delivered on February 14th were a Valentine’s Day promotion (and half of those were probably from Victoria’s Secret!)
Saint Valentine would be proud.
