Understanding Insights

Insights Tracking allows you to track open and click-through rates on your email campaigns. As your opens and clicks come in, GroupMail records this information into neat and helpful reports.

You can then view real-time email tracking activity and use this to find out how many of your recipients have opened your message and which recipients they were. You can also find out how many and which recipients click on a URL link in your message. Knowing who your subscribers are helps you deliver more personalised content tailored for individual subscribers.

Add Insights Tracking to your email messages

Now that you know how it works, you can add Insights Tracking to your email messages. GroupMail has a function that can automatically add Tracking to your message so all you have to is send your message. To add Insights Tracking to your email, begin by launching GroupMail on your desktop. To automate message tracking, click on the ‘tracking’ icon, select ‘set-up’ and then enable the tracking option.

Once this is configured, all messages sent through GroupMail will be automatically tracked using our Insights Tracking.

Start Tracking

Now that you have enabled the tracking option, you can set up your campaigns and track important metrics to measure.

For creating successful campaigns, we recommend that you track opens, links, goals and unsubscribe rates.

Monitoring these four metrics over time will help you understand how engaged your subscribers are with your campaigns, and how effective you have been at encouraging your subscribers to take the action you want them to.

Using Insights Tracking gives you the data you need to help you understand which of your email marketing tactics are working.
