After creating a database connection to your Access database, open GroupMail and GO TO Groups/New Group.

Select the option ‘External Database – Recipient information is retrieved from an external Database system’.

Click Next.

Select the Database Connection for this Group and Click Next.

This step determines the contents of the group.

There are two options available namely the group is to be made up from a Table in the database or from the results of an SQL statement.

If you wish to use a Query stored in the database use the SQL option with a statement “Select * from QueryName“.
Choose the required Table / specify an SQL statement and choose Next to continue.

Now you need to select the Field from the Database that contains the Email Address and also you have the option to select the field that contains the Date that the recipient was added. Next.

Now all that is left to do is to specify a Name for your Group and press Create.

Your Group is now linked to your MS Access Database. Now, any changes made to your external Access database will be automatically reflected in your GroupMail Group.
