PHISHING ALERT

We have been made aware that emails are being sent from @infacta-billing.com (not our domain) which mask GroupMail software order emails. Email from @infacta-billing.com purporting to be from us are part of a phishing email scam.

Communications purporting to be from popular social web sites, auction sites, online payment processors or IT administrators are commonly used to lure the unsuspecting public. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail spoofing or instant messaging,[1] and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one…” continue reading
The recent emails sent from @infacta-billing.com are not legitimate order confirmation emails from Infacta or GroupMail and should be treated as suspicious.
If in doubt, get in touch with us and we will be happy to confirm whether an email is from us or not.

Apparently, the phishing domain was registered today from Japan.
UPDATE: 6th June 2012 @ 11:00 GMT.
All hands have been on deck here at Infacta to have this scammer reprimanded.
MedaTemple who were hosting the fake website and malicious virus file have now shut down that scammers site.
The domain Registrar in Russia has just contacted me and are investigating the issue. They will suspend the fake domain name infacta-billing.com within 10 days after they contact the person who registered that domain.
SendGrid is where the scam/phishing Emial originated and they have also been contacted and proactively dealt with the matter. They have also kindly provided information on the type of Virus attack this involves and they provide the following information in the link below for anyone who may think they downloaded the malicious file and install it on their PC:
